Kevin McAlvey
Admininistrator
Kevin started teaching at FBA in 1990 and has served as the
administrator for 9 years. Coaching and teaching are his
passions and he loves to see students get closer to God. He
and his wife Laura have 4 children. Together they teach during
the school year and work the farm in the summer baling hay and
taking care of beef cattle. I believe we did the staff pics in black
and white so you couldn't see the gray in his hair as well.
Teaching will do that to you.

Glenda Thompson
Kindergarten
Glenda has been rounding up Kindergarten since 2005.
Glenda and her husband Dan have 3 children, 2 of whom
attend FBA. Glenda is a graduate of Bob Jones University
and did her graduate work at Calvin College. She loves the
Kindergarten age because learning is always exciting and fun.
Each new thing they learn is wonderful and makes their eyes
sparkle. Before coming to FBA she taught 9 years at
Oakfield Baptist Academy and 13 years of homeschooling.

Glenda has been rounding up Kindergarten since 2005.
Glenda and her husband Dan have 3 children, 2 of whom
attend FBA. Glenda is a graduate of Bob Jones University
and did her graduate work at Calvin College. She loves the

Toni Wilson
1st, 2nd and 3rd grade
Toni began on the FBA team in the fall of 2007. She and her
husband, Ben, moved to the Carson City area in 2006 from
Colorado where they both attended Colorado Christian
University. She gained her bachelor's degree in Elementary
Education with a minor in Biblical Studies. After graduating,
Toni spent 2 years substitute teaching in the Denver area
schools and later in Carson City area schools. Among
teaching young students, her passions include reading,
traveling, and the outdoors.

Toni began on the FBA team in the fall of 2007. She and her
husband, Ben, moved to the Carson City area in 2006 from
Colorado where they both attended Colorado Christian
University. She gained her bachelor's degree in Elementary
Education with a minor in Biblical Studies. After graduating,

traveling, and the outdoors.
Kay Looyengoed
4th, 5th, and 6th grade
Kay graduated from Cedarville University with a bachelors in
Behavioral Science in 1979. She later graduated from
Central Michigan with an elementary education degree. She
taught at FBA from 1984-1988 and then spent several raising
a family and working in a private business with her husband
Bob. Both of her children graduated from FBA and attend
university. Kay came back to teaching at FBA in 2001. Her
hobbies include biking, hiking, camping, scrapbooking,
drawing, and watercolor painting.

Kay graduated from Cedarville University with a bachelors in
Behavioral Science in 1979. She later graduated from
Central Michigan with an elementary education degree. She
taught at FBA from 1984-1988 and then spent several raising

Bob. Both of her children graduated from FBA and attend
university. Kay came back to teaching at FBA in 2001. Her
hobbies include biking, hiking, camping, scrapbooking,

Tammy Clingenpeel
Preschool, Jr and Sr High, and
Administration
Tammy has been a faithful teacher at FBA since 1996. She is
a graduate of Anderson University in Indiana. After
graduating she subbed for 7 years and then taught for 3 years
in Indiana. She loves scrapbooking, taking pictures, reading,
biking and her adorable husband Bob.

Jenean graduated summa cum laude from WMU with a
Bachelors of Science in 1979. She began teaching at FBA in
1981 and left in 1984 to raise three children. Two children are
graduates of FBA; one graduated from CMU and the other is a
senior at Ferris State. Her youngest is currently a senior at FBA.
Jenean came back to teaching in 1995. She enjoys planning
trips for the FBA student body to Chicago, Washington DC,
Stratford/Niagara Falls and Mammoth Caves. Besides spending
time with her family, she enjoys traveling, camping, flower
gardening, and being in the great outdoors.

Laura McAlvey
HS Math and Science
Laura, a 1989 Cedarville grad, began teaching math and
science at FBA in 2000. She coaches volleyball and loves to
take care of her family. She enjoys reading, flower
gardening, spending time with her family, and helping out at
the church. She is married to the administrator, Kevin. All
four of their children attend FBA.

Nancy Wilson
Yearbook
Nancy began teaching keyboarding at Fellowship in 2000 and
yearbook 2005. She and her husband Les have enjoyed 21
years of happy marriage. They have two daughters, Nikki, a
graduate of FBA and Aimey who currently attends FBA.
Nancy graduated from Cornerstone University with an

Debbi Miester

.Debbi graduated from CMU with teaching degree and
subsequently taught at Breckenridge Community Schools for
four years. She then spent several years raising a family and
running the business office of her husband's construction
company. Drawn back to teaching when her youngest was a
5th grader, Debbi taught at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Academy.
During this time she earned her Highly Qualified certification
from the State of Michigan and her ACSI teacher
accreditation. Debbi is also devoted to spending time with
her blended family and she enjoys international travel, antique
tractors, flower gardening, and photography.

Candi McAlvey
Secretary
For the past 13 years, Candi has served in a very
demanding position of our church/school secretary.
Handling office demands for both ministries is
sure to be hectic, but Candi handles it with a joy
and grace that stems from a grateful heart. Candi and Bill, her
husband of 30 years, have been blessed with four married
children and two grandchildren who are a great joy in their
lives. We are blessed to have Candi on staff, and we
thank God for her tireless work in ministry.
